The group of studies, made up of academics from the universities Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and Magallanes will discuss and analyze studies on the quality of education that constitute, in the present time, an important field of knowledge production, not only for the implications of education as a process for Social change, but because of the need to enable inclusion processes of subjects and different educational groups in social dynamics. The quality of education implies, therefore, to address a variety of complex problems at all levels of education, whose understanding is a priority for Chile, especially in a context in which educational institutions have not yet managed to appropriate institutional educational projects and Autonomy as empowering elements for the development of their environments and educational communities.
OBJECTIVES: To carry out theoretical and epistemological studies on the quality of higher education; To carry out research projects in the subjects of higher education quality and specifically in what refers to initial and continuous teachers training; Generate collegiate scientific publications; to propose and carry out events on the research lines of the network; To promote extension courses, training, workshops in Chile, Brazil, Europe and Latin America; to propose research projects and publications for the dissemination of knowledge of the groups in the network.
